Iron Heart

Known for their extra heavy denim, Iron Heart has a particular emphasis on motorcycle appropriate clothes. Using classic studies to inspire their thoughtful updates for the way we live today, Iron Heart is guided in part by their forums, creating modern denim and workwear based on the needs of their customers.

Shinichi Haraki, after working 20 years in the garment industry in Japan, started Iron Heart with in 2003. The initial concept was for denim worn by moto culture and for their preference. However, their jeans and other workwear are for anyone that wants a pair to last through heavy daily work and look better for the endurance. Very comfortable considering the generally heavy weight, the construction and fabric details are expertly tested and challenged. Using 100% American cotton, known for its unusually long fibers, produces a jean with an even look but a soft hand. Hidden rivets, poly-cotton stitching, and a burly leather patch complete their signature 21oz extra heavy denim and make them a favorite to break-in.

In 2005, Shinichi Haraki teamed up with Giles Padmore to establish Iron Heart International and a community grew around a denim that is likely the best known cult raw denim brand in the world.

They bring the same details and weight to their jackets and work shirts, but it’s their flannels that are a sight to be touched. Their ultra heavy flannels are shuttle loomed using only Aspero cotton from the Peruvian wild (not farmed, wild) because no other cotton produces the same hand. It is this principled dedication that makes Iron Heart the reigning champs of the heavyweight world.
